IntroductionJobOpps registered users (“Members”) share their professional identities, engage with their network, exchange knowledge and professional insights, post and view relevant content, learn and find business and career opportunities.
Content and data on some of its Services is viewable to non-members (“Visitors”).
The term “Designated Countries” refers to countries in the South East Asian region.
Data Controllers and Contracting PartiesIf you reside within or outside the “Designated Countries”: JobOpps will be the controller of your personal data provided to, or collected by or for, or processed in connection with its Services; a User Agreement with JobOpps is then automatically entered into.
Data We Collect
Data You Provide To Us
To create an account data including your name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password should be provided. To register for a Premium Service, payment (e.g., credit card) and billing information should be supplied.Profile
You have the option to choose the information which will be reflected on your profile such as your education, work experience, skills, photo, city or area and endorsements. Providing additional information however is not required, nonetheless, it would help you maximize the services offered by JobOpps more, including helping recruiters and business opportunities find you.Posting and Uploading
You also have the option to include sensitive information and whether it will be made visible to the public.
The personal data provided, posted or uploaded in JobOpps are collected, sample of which are the following:
- Filling out a form, (e.g., with demographic data or work history),
- Responding to a survey, or
- Submitting a resume.
By importing your address book, JobOpps will have access on your contacts (including contact information your service provide(s) or your app automatically added to your address book when you communicate with addresses or numbers not already in your list).
By syncing your contacts or calendars with JobOpps’ Services, your address book and calendar meeting information will be collected by suggesting connections for you and others, and likewise by providing information about them, e.g. times, places, attendees and contacts, this will help in growing your network.
Posting or uploading personal data is not mandatory, however, it may limit the chances of expanding your network over our Services.
Data From Others
Contents that include personal information may be posted by you and others (as part of articles, posts, comments, videos) on our Services. Unless you opt-out, JobOpps will collect public information about you, such as professional-related news and accomplishments (e.g., patents granted, professional recognition, conference speakers, projects, etc.) and make it available as part of JobOpps’ Services (e.g. suggestions for your profile, or notifications of mentions in the news).Contact and Calendar Information
JobOpps will receive personal data (including contact information) about you when:
- Others import or sync their contacts or calendar with its Services,
- Associate their contacts with Member profiles, or
- Send messages using JobOpps’ Services (including invites or connection requests).
If you or others opt-in to sync email accounts, JobOpps will also collect “email header” information that can be associated with the user profiles.Partners
Your personal data is received when you use the services of JobOpps’ customers and partners, such as employers, prospective employers and applicant tracking systems providing job application data.
Log usage data is logged when you visit or otherwise use JobOpps’ Services, including the sites, app and platform technology (e.g., off-site plugins), such as when you view or click on content (e.g., learning video) or ads (on or off our sites and apps), perform a search, install or update one of our mobile apps, share articles or apply for jobs. Log-ins, cookies, device information and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses are used to identify you and log your use.
Cookies, Web Beacons and Other Similar Technologies
Your Device and Location
The URL of both the site you came from and the one you will go to next are received when you visit or leave JobOpps’ Services (including plugins or cookies or similar technology on the sites of others). The information about your IP address, proxy server, operating system, web browser and add-ons, device identifier and features, and/or ISP or your mobile carrier are also collected. If the Services are accessed from a mobile device, your location based on your phone settings will be sent to JobOpps. Nonetheless, you will be asked to opt-in before the GPS or other tools to identify your precise location will be used.
JobOpps collects your personal information when you send, receive, or engage with messages in connection with its Services.
Sites and Services of Others
Your visits and interaction with the services provided by others are received by JobOpps when you log-in with JobOpps or visit others’ services that include its plugins, ads, cookies or similar technologies.

JobOpps also makes use of your personal data provided to make its services more relevant and useful to you and others. This is with the help of automated systems and inferences JobOpps makes which includes ads.
Your data is used to authorize access to JobOpps’ Services.Career
JobOpps’ Services allow you to explore careers, evaluate educational opportunities, and seek out, and be found for, career opportunities. Your profile will be made available to those searching for employees or for employers, who work at a company, in an industry, function or location or have certain skills and connections. Recruiters will have access in your profile for better work opportunities. Automated systems will be used to profile and provide recommendations to help make the Services more relevant to users, visitors and customers. Keeping your profile accurate and up-to-date may help you better connect to others and to opportunities through its Services.Productivity
JobOpps’ Services will allow you to collaborate with colleagues, search for potential applicants, customers, partners and others who you can do business with. It will also permit you to communicate with the other users, and schedule/ prepare interviews and meeting as well.
Premium Services that provide customers and subscribers customized-search functionality and tools (including advanced reports and webinars) as part of JobOpps’ talent, marketing and sales solutions is also available. Customers can export limited information from your profile, such as name, headline, current company, current title, and general location, in order to manage sales leads or talent. However, contact information to customers is not provided as part of these Premium Services without your consent. Premium Services customers can store your information, such as a resume or contact information, they can also store data about you which is subject to their own policies.
JobOpps will contact you through email, mobile phone, notices posted on our websites or apps, messages, and other ways through our Services, including text messages and push notifications. Messages about the availability of our Services, security, or other service- related issues will also be sent to you. Messages about how to use the Services, network updates, reminders, job suggestions and promotional messages from us and our partners will also be made available. The communication preference may nonetheless be changed anytime. However, for security and legal notices, you cannot opt-out of receiving messages for JobOpps sends it mandatorily.
JobOpps targets (and measure the performance of) ads to Members, Visitors and others both on and off its Services directly or through a variety of partners, using the following data, whether separately or combined:
- Data from advertising technologies on and off our Services, like web beacons, pixels, ad tags, cookies, and device identifiers;
- Member-provided information (e.g., profile, contact information, title and industry);
- Data from your use of our Services (e.g., search history, feed, content you read, who you follow or is following you, connections, groups participation, page visits, videos you watch, clicking on an ad, etc.), including as described in Section 1.3;
- Information from advertising partners and publishers; and
- Information inferred from data described above (e.g., using job titles from a profile to infer industry, seniority, and compensation bracket; using graduation dates to infer age or using first names or pronoun usage to infer gender).
Ads called sponsored content which look similar to non-sponsored content, except that they are labeled “ads” or “sponsored” will also be shown. If you take an action (such as like, comment or share) on these ads, your action is associated with your name and viewable by others, including the advertiser.Ad Choices
JobOpps adheres to self-regulatory principles for interest-based advertising and participate in industry opt-outs from such ads. This does not opt you out of receiving advertising; you will continue to get other ads by advertisers not listed with these self-regulatory tools. You can also opt-out specifically from our uses of certain categories of data to show you more relevant ads.Info to Ad Providers
JobOpps does not share your personal data with any third-party advertisers or ad networks for their advertising except for: (i) hashed or device identifiers (to the extent they are personal data in some countries); (ii) with your separate permission (e.g., lead generation form) or (iii) data already visible to any users of the Services (e.g. profile). However, if you view or click on an ad on or off our site or apps, the ad provider will get a signal that someone visited the page that displayed the ad, and they may through the use of mechanisms such as cookies determine it is you. Advertising partners can associate personal data collected by the advertiser directly from you with our cookies and similar technologies from you. In such instances, JobOpps seeks to contractually require such advertising partners to obtain your explicit, opt-in consent before doing so.
JobOpps uses data and content about Members for invitations and communications promoting membership and network growth, engagement, and its Services offered.
Developing Services and Research
JobOpps uses data, including public feedback, to conduct research and development for the further development of its Services in order to provide you and others with a better, more intuitive and personalized experience. It also drives membership growth and engagement on its Services, and helps connect professionals to each other and to economic opportunity.Other Research
JobOpps seeks to create economic opportunity for Members of the global workforce and to help them be more productive and successful. The personal data available is used to research social, economic and workplace trends such as jobs availability and skills needed for the jobs and policies that help bridge the gap in various industries and geographic areas. In some cases, JobOpps works with trusted third parties to perform research, under controls that are designed to protect your privacy. In addition, JobOpps publishes or allows others to publish economic insights, presented as aggregated data rather than personal data.Surveys
Polls and surveys are also conducted by JobOpps through its Services. You are not obligated to respond to polls or surveys conducted, and you have the option to choose the information to be reflected on your profile. You may opt-out of survey invitations.
JobOpps uses the data (which can include your communications) to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and Service issues (e.g., bugs).
JobOpps also uses your data to produce and share aggregated insights that do not identify you. For example your data may be used to generate statistics about members, their profession or industry, to calculate ad impressions served or clicked on, or to publish visitor demographics for a Service or demographic workforce insights.
Security and Investigations
How We Share Information
Your profile is fully visible to all Members and customers of JobOpps’ Services. It can also be visible to others on or off of the Services (e.g., Visitors to our Services or users of third- party search engines), subject to your settings. As detailed in JobOpps’ Help Center, your settings, degree of connection with the viewing Member, the subscriptions they may have, their usage of the Services, access channels and search types (e.g., by name or by keyword) impact the availability of your profile and whether they can view certain fields in your profile.
Some Members (or their employers) need, for legal or professional compliance, to archive their communications and social media activity. In addition, the services of others to provide these archival services will be utilized. JobOpps enables the archiving of messages by those Members outside of its Services. A financial advisor needs to archive communications with her clients through our Services in order to maintain her professional financial advisor license is an example.
Subject to your settings, other services may look-up your profile. When you opt to link your account with other services, personal data will become available to them. The sharing and use of that personal data will be described in, or linked to, a consent screen when you opt to link the accounts. For example, you may link your Facebook account to share content from our Services into these other services. You may also revoke the link with such accounts.
Subject to your settings, excerpts from your profile will appear on the services of others. “Old” profile information remains on these services until they update their data cache with changes you made to your profile.
JobOpps partners with other organizations to help deliver its Services (e.g., maintenance, analysis, audit, payments, fraud detection, marketing and development). Others on the other hand will have access to your information which are reasonably necessary to perform the tasks on JobOpps’ behalf. Nonetheless, they are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
JobOpps reserves its right to disclose information about you when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process or if there is a good faith belief that closure is reasonably necessary to:
(1) Investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities or to assist government enforcement agencies;
(2) Enforce JobOpps’ agreements with you;
(3) Investigate and defend JobOpps’ standing against any third-party claims or allegations;
(4) Protect the security or integrity of its Service (such as by sharing with companies facing similar threats); or
(5) Exercise or protect the rights and safety of JobOpps, its Members, personnel, or others.
Moreover, JobOpps attempts to notify Members about legal demands for their personal data, unless prohibited by law, court order or when there is an emergency request. Demands may further be disputed when it believes, in its discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or that it lacks proper authority, promise to challenge every demand is however is not guaranteed.

Your Choices & Obligations
JobOpps retains your personal data while your account is in existence or when there is still a need to provide Services to you. This includes data provided by all parties and data generated or inferred from your use of JobOpps’ Services. This applies for Services availed of every few years until closing your account has been decided.
Rights to Access and Control Your Personal Data
JobOpps offers several options about the collection, use and sharing of your data, from deleting or correcting data included in your profile as well as controlling the visibility of your posts to advertising opt-outs and communication controls. Settings to control and manage the personal data provided is also proposed.
If you choose to close your account, your personal data will generally stop being visible to others on JobOpps’ Services within 24 hours. Closed account information are generally deleted within 30 days from account closure, except as noted below.
Also, JobOpps retains your personal data even after your account has been closed, if reasonably necessary to comply with its legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce its User Agreement, or fulfill your request to “unsubscribe” from further messages from JObOpps Your de-personalized information after your account has been closed will still be retained.
Information shared with others will remain visible after you have closed your account or deleted the information from your own profile or mailbox, JobOpps does not have any control as regards the data that other Members copied out of its Services. Your profile may continually be displayed in the services of others (e.g., search engine results) until their cache has been refreshed.

Other Important Information
JobOpps implements security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS. The systems are regularly monitored for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, the security of any information that you send us cannot be warranted. In addition, there is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
JobOpps process data both inside and outside the Philippines and rely on legally-provided mechanisms to lawfully transfer data across borders. It must be noted however that countries where data are processed may have laws which are different, and potentially not as protective, as the laws of your own country.
Lawful Bases for Processing
JobOpps will only collect and process personal data about you where lawful bases exist. Lawful bases include consent (where you have given consent), contract (where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you) and “legitimate interests”.
You have the right to withdraw or decline your consent at any time when such personal data is relied upon by JobOpps. Nonetheless, you have the right to object in cases where JobOpps rely on legitimate interests. A Data Protection Officer is ready to assist you for any inquiries about the lawful bases relied upon by JobOpps in the collection and use your personal data.
Direct Marketing and Do Not Track Signals
Currently, JobOpps does not share personal data with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your permission.
